Section 1: Rationale/Review (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 100 words)
Over the last 2 years I am certain I have met the thing I enjoy most, media. I have loved every bit of it. However, finding something within the topic that you strive on is a bonus. And for me that is effects. I have loved using different creative skills in my work to benefit it. But now is where it is most important. For my Fmp last year I did a music video which I absolutely loved doing, so I am doing it again. I aim to create all the effects myself and really delve into the world of visuals, I want to push myself to max and make sure this really does look like a proper music video.
Section 2: Project Concept (Level 2 approx 100 words, Level 3 approx 200 words)

intro
It may seem quite boring to create another music video again however I loved doing it. This time I will be manipulating sound as well as creating a video. I aim to combine two songs of Frank oceans album “Blond” as well as create a music video. Over the last few months I have really took a liking into how cinematography works and how certain scenes create an impact on the audience. I will create certain visuals and scenes in my estimated 3 minute piece to really delve the audience into the impact of the songs and the true meaning. I want to teach myself a range of effects that can stay tuned with the pace of the combined music I will be using. Using these advanced effects such as the “ Forever transition “ (which constantly zooms through scenes), I will be able to stick with the flow of the music video and create a more of an impact of the story towards the audience.
The plot
I really have analysed whether this music video needs a structured plot and there is a certain meaning the video I will be doing. I want the character in the video to almost look back at his life , this is not an established plot that the audience need to understand because visuals can effect peoples emotions in all sorts of ways. What I mean is that there will be a certain meaning to the video but not a fully structured storyline.

Section 3: Evaluation (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 50 words)

Through the course of this project I need to make sure I stick to my timetable to ensure there is structure and no loss of time. Throughout the project as well I will write short evaluations in my evaluation section.

Synopsis

Write a short outline of your story – briefly mentioning the main characters and what happens to them.

I am creating a music video.

I will be creating a music video that has two of the artist named frank oceans  songs in the album '' Blonde ''. They will be shortened down and edited in premiere pro  to merge together , its not a complicated sound edit but its needed to blended in well. The reason why i am doing two songs is because i want the audience to feel two different types of emotions and this will be caused by the contrast between the songs pace , it is becoming more and more common to merge two songs from an album and put them in a music video. The first half will be really slow and moody and then it will transition to a fast pace video using effects such as  the infinite zoom.

The music video will show a short story of someone looking back at their life. It will start off dark, gloomy, however midway through the video it will transition to another song and it will be more upbeat. I want to make sure I match my target audience ( which is stated in the research) but then convert it into visual imagery , by doing this i will be combining a wide range of effects to give the best possible journey throughout this music video for the viewers , i will make my music video grainy , dark and get some really minimalistic shots in the first half of the video , then when the it switches the next song , it will be much more brighter and a faster pace to the music video.

Setting

Say where and when the story happens – you need to describe the environment in which the action takes place

There will be many settings in which this music video will be based in.

London underground

Empty fields

Bedrooms with one colour glow

Bach.

Genre

Say what type of programme it will be – will it be naturalistic, melodramatic or comic?

I want it to be a narrative based music video.

The artist sings R&B / hip-hop.

Narrative Structure

Say how the programme is broken down - is the story told in chronological order and are there sub plots?

The music video will show a short story of someone looking back at their life. It will start off dark, gloomy, however midway through the video it will transition to another song and it will be more upbeat. I want to make sure I match my target audience ( which is stated in the research) but then convert it into visual imagery , by doing this i will be combining a wide range of effects to give the best possible journey throughout this music video for the viewers , i will make my music video grainy , dark and get some really minimalistic shots in the first half of the video , then when the it switches the next song , it will be much more brighter and a faster pace to the music video.

Vision

Explain how the film will lookthis will include the style of camerawork, the use of colour and the use of lighting

Sound

Explain how you will use sound to help tell the story – how you will combine the four layers of film sound to add to the total effect

I will be combining two songs too make a piece. They will merge together because there is parts in each of the songs that sound very similar.

Editing

Explain the cutting of shots and the use of transitionswhat kind of pace will you have, and how you move from one scene to the next

The use of video effects in my music video is key. When you look at music videos from similar artists like Frank ocean  , they have a wide variety of effects that enhance the video and also inspire the audience because the effects are so distinctive such as '' Asap Rocky '' and '' travis scott ''.

As well as the rhythm of the music video and the concept of some shots. i consider the visual aesthetic and style of how i want it all to look and a lot of this will come under editing effects , like i said a lot of the artists that are like Frank ocean use a lot of effects in their videos. Having an overall creative vision for the music video as a whole  will enable the audience to be drawn into it.

The pace of the music and the editing could affect how much footage i need to film. A faster-paced edit such as the infinite zoom i want to use will require more shots than a slower edited video such as the first half of the video. During the process of the production, new ideas will arise that might move the creative vision in a different direction so i need to be  open to different views along the way this happened a lot in my previous music video and ideally to keep a structured project i need to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I will be using a wide range of effects such as :

Infinite zoom

Infinite transitions

Green screen

Overlays.
